I’m encouraged by the points being raised by MTG over the last few days, but it also highlights what a despicable person she is. These are not new thoughts for her, I suspect these are her actual opinions that she has held for a while but she was happy to swallow until now. I don’t know what’s changed but I do think the increase in medical insurance is going to shake the MAGA base.
Conservatives only really care about things when it impacts them directly. I honestly don’t think that Trump knew or cared about these increases.

It was obvious from the beginning what the IDF’s plan was. Find and destroy Hamas, ignore shields of women, children and location. We can of course argue the morality but I think we should be able to agree on this. Combatants hiding among women and children or placing weapon depots in hospital basements is EVIL! Ignoring civilian casualties to reach combatants is also EVIL. The land grab was of course going to happen, every time Israel is attacked they claim territory.

One thing I will say of MTG – she’s no grifter. She doesn’t say the crazy shit she does because she thinks it will get her votes or money. She GENUINELY BELIEVES the things she says. Yes, even that thing about Jewish Space Lasers a few years back.
This means that she has an ideological consistency that’s rare within the modern GOP. She doesn’t shift her beliefs when they suddenly become unpopular, or because the president told her to. She BELIEVES that the Epstein List exists. So when Trump tried to say that it didn’t, and more than the half the GOP went along with it, MTG stood up and said “Hey wait a minute, you campaigned on releasing this, and now you wanna suppress it? What’s going on?”
Mind you, she’s still crazy. She’s still very much part of the cult. She believed every word Donald Trump said. Which is why she’s so visibly confused, and even frustrated, that Donald Trump is calling the Epstein List a democrat hoax. It’s like she missed the memo that went around the GOP that said “We believe in nothing, we have no principles, just agree with whatever the president says.”
